  Le Canotier was nothing short of a haven of rejuvenation, healing, re-connection and stress relief. My husband and I are parents to a child with medical fragility and as a result we have little privacy in our own home with caregivers/ therapists and nurses helping us to raise our daughter. We have gone away for a night at a hotel throughout the years but coming to this cabin along the river for an entire weekend gave new meaning to the phrase "getting away from it all." There is magic in these walls and the river that gently passes by seems to carry your worries and stresses along with it. The birds greeting the morning and the peepers singing a chorus to lull you to sleep add to the overall ambiance. We had so much fun taking turns choosing the music from the large selection of albums. Walks through the woods and along the lake as well as a paddle in the canoe gave us time away from the cabin and some fresh air. Our stay (s) at Le Canotier Cabin has been a tremendous mental/ emotional break. It has allowed us the space, privacy and time to rediscover each other and reconnect as a couple. The two weekends we have spent here (spring and fall) have felt like time travel and we cannot wait until our next visit planned for spring 2018. This is the perfect get away for couples who need to take a breather from their busy lives and spend quality time together in a beautiful setting.
